Dharma : Bangkok Coffin Donation

There are lots of ways of doing good deeds. One of the way is to donate coffin. In Bangkok, there is one Ruamkatanyu Foundation located next to Wat Hua Lampong, above Sam Yan Station, near to Patpong night market in Silom. The address is  728 ถนน พระรามที่ 4 Si Phraya, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500, Thailand.

The Ruamkatanyu Foundation opens 24 hr. It is founded on 22 June 1970 or BE.2517.

A coffin and a piece of white cloth for the body cost 500Baht or S$20 and it is for people who died in accidents or been killed in the event no one comes to identify or claim the body.

Go to the reception there and write your name or family members' name on the pink slip of paper. You will receive the tax deductible receipt. Paste the pink slip on the yellow coffin and made a prayer. Pick 20 joss sticks, prayed and placed the joss sticks into the labelled urns. Strike the bells 3 times after finish. Then burn away the receipt and you had completed doing a good deed.
